This tour will provide you the great experience to know more about the Inca Empire, one of the most important in the world, as well as will give you the opportunity to know its lost city Machu Picchu. You will start the tour in a 4x4 visiting Puerto Viejo, a beautiful beach near to Lima, after this you are already able to go in the Incas Land and Culture to Cusco. Day 01 Lima
Day 02 Lima – Puerto Viejo Off Road 4x4 – Lima.
Buffet Breakfast in the hotel. After the breakfast you will be given a 4x4 briefing concerning to the 4x4 off-road activities to be held in the sand dunes of the Peruvian dessert in Puerto Viejo. You will be informed about the general safety regulations to be taken into consideration. Also for this event you will be handed over one radio communication transponder per off-road unit. Other items to be handed over during the briefing will be maps, hats, t-shirts and general information materials. Departure in convoy from Lima until reaching Km 64 of the Southern Pan-American Highway always following a master guide. Arriving at Puerto Viejo, and at the entrance of the dessert here after lowering the tire pressure to 12 pounds one last general check up of the units will be necessary before continuing our event. >From here on a circuit has been pre established and each team will have to follow and obey orders of the master guide in order to be able to pass all obstacles within their reach and possibilities. This event will be filmed and many pictures will also be taken as part of the event. You will learn how to climb sand dunes and drive down (Car Sand Surfing!), after each team has taken turns on the obstacles there will be a time to rest and relax, also where we will have the opportunity to taste a very nice BBQ in the dessert, prepared by catering services. The event finishes with a Group Picture of all participants. Afterwards return drive to the hotel in Miraflores, San Isidro or Lima.
In the evening dinner in a luxurious restaurant known as the Nautical Rose, this restaurant is located basically on the Pacific Ocean Beach; the food served in this restaurant is based on seafood.
Day 03 Lima Cusco Sacred Valley.
Buffet breakfast at the hotel. Early in the morning transfer to the airport in a luxurious Pullman bus, in order to board the flight with destination to the city of Cusco, known as “The Archaeological Capital of the Americas and the Inca Empire”.
Arrival in Cusco, welcome and reception at the airport. Transfer in a Pullman bus to the Sacred Valley of the Incas directly to the hotel in order to prepare us a full day of activities, competitions and excursions. You will be welcomed with the traditional Coca Tea drink at the hotel, we recommend everybody to take this tea since it helps you to acclimatize quickly to the height. You will also be presented to the Cusco tour guides and tour conductors, who will be responsible for the coordination of the following activities within the 6 teams:
Mountain Biking: This is a competition which will cover a pre-established circuit and will also be controlled by effective timing. Individual points are taken into account as well as team points. Bicycles, support transport, helmets, protection pads, mechanic and first aid kits will be provided for this event.
Lake rowing:
This is a group activity; the teams will cover a distance between 100 to 300 mts in a lagoon in Cusco. Individual points and team points are taken into account by considering time control, distance and distress.
Horse Riding:
This is a recreational activity and considered as a group excursion.
Canoeing:
This is an activity which is carried out in groups; a determined distance will be covered on the Vilcanota River, which covers smooth water rapid’s in moderate conditions. The difficulty level in this case is Medium/Low. The participants will be provided with life vests, paddle and helmets and a captain guide for this event. Individual points are taken into consideration as well as team points.
Trekking:
This is a resistance competition, based on a walking route which goes up and down, crossing landscapes, and cultivated areas and rivers. On route you will have to collect and find certain objects, which will be taken into consideration as points for the individual and team.
Ceramic workshop:
Ceramic technical knowledge on how to work with ceramic pottery, the use of minerals and dying ingredients as well as polishing and ovening. Individual points and team points will be taken into consideration.
Kitchen and gastronomy workshop:
Competition activity based on the preparation of diverse typical dishes with natural products of the region, and assessment of the chefs and personnel of the hotel restaurant. Points are taken into account concerning to those individuals who prepare the best dishes both in taste and presence. Points are considered individually and by teams.
During the activities a picnic lunch, box lunch or a normal lunch in the hotel, this is in accordance with the activities developed by the participants of the groups. At the end of the day evening dinner and overnight.
Day 04 Sacred Valley Machu Picchu Cusco
Buffet Breakfast in the hotel. In the morning transfer to the train station in Ollantaytambo, in order to board the train with destination to Aguas Calientes, where you will the after arrival board a bus which will take you up to the walking entrance of (The Lost City of the Incas) Machu Picchu. >From there on we will initiate our walk through the principal parts of the ruins such as Intihuatan known to us a the Solar Watch, the tower, the Temple of the Inca. You will be able to feel the positive energy of this place flow through you and also the mystical powers of this temple. Finishing the guided tour through the ruins you will enjoy a exquisite buffet lunch at
the Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge Hotel, located nearby the ruins. In the afternoon return journey by train to Cusco. Arrival at the Poroy train station, reception and transfer of the group to the hotel in the city of Cusco. Check inn assistance. Lodging. Folkloric dinner show in a typical restaurant “ Bohemia” based on Novoandino Menu or international. Transfer to the local discotheque in vogue, to spend a good time. Return and overnight.
Day 05 Cusco City Tour and Visit of 4 Nearby Ruins. Gala dinner.
Buffet breakfast at the hotel. In the morning Cusco city tour, where you will visit the principal attractions such as the cathedral , main square, the San Blass area, the 12 angled stone, the temple of Koricancha etc. we will continue visiting the 4 nearby ruins known as: Qenqo, Puca Pucara, Tambomachay and Sacsayhuaman. Return to the hotel. Lunch in a typical restaurant “ Inkanato” or similar located nearby the main square of Cusco. After lunch reunion or meeting in the conference hall of the hotel. The conference hall will have everything implemented according to the requirements of the first and second group. This night we will celebrate the Gala dinner in the hotel where we will hand over the prices and diplomas to all participants. Overnight.
Day 06 Cusco Lima.
Buffet Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning transfer by bus to the airport in order to board your flight back to Lima. Arrival in Lima
Reception and transfer in order to do the panoramic city tour, visiting the most important tourist places of the colonial and modern part of the city. Farewell lunch in the restaurant Huaca Pucllana, based on typical Peruvian food. If there is some spare time a brief visit to the Larco Museum would be possible. We have now come to the final part of the program, and now the farewell, from which you will take with you the most beautiful memories of your visit to Peru. At fixed time (3 hours before flight departure) transfer to the airport in order to board your flight home.
